Arrival in Bangkok!

Hello to all our loyal readers (all 5 of you).

Most of our team has made it safely to Bangkok. After trips that ranged from long to preposterous, our jet-lagged travelers finally met one another this afternoon at the loverly Suk11 Hostel. We don't know if the pictures here will do it justice, but the Suk11 is funky and awesome -- it bears a strange resemblance to the Swiss Family Robinson house.

The team enjoyed a great dinner tonight and got to meet our Habitat Thailand hosts, Hanzel and Pin. Some of the more adventurous among us took a boat ride to visit a temple this afternoon. Others experienced their first Thai massage (like a Western massage except more painful).

Only a quick post today as we prepare for our trip tomorrow to Udon Thani -- where we will meet the Habitat staff there in anticipation of starting the build on Monday.

Hope everyone back in the states and elsewhere is doing well.

Susanna and JB

PS - Due to some minor technical difficulties we were unable to post any pictures right now. Check back tomorrow for your first look at Thailand...
